The U.S. Census Bureau has released its 2016 population estimates for U.S. counties and metro areas. Births outnumbered deaths in the county 23,209 to 18,231, and 4,279 people moved into the county from foreign countries. The bureau collected population data from july of 2015 to July of 2016. The general patterns in these counties where the same as in Cook County. When those tax hikes are in place, the Chicago area will likely lose more population due to taxation.
