Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 introduced with no notch and sliding front cameras

Xiaomi kills the notch with its new bezel-free smartphone

All the variants mentioned above support 4G networks and the 5G variant will be released later, possibly with a different chipset. There are a few upgrades in terms of technical specifications as well.

We hope tomorrow, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 to get launched with some handsome specs. The slider can also be customised to launch other functions such as answering a call and incorporate gaming features such as notifications or screen capture. Xiaomi has claimed than Mi MIX 3 is 30 percent more efficient than Mi MIX 2S. The back of the phone houses a vertical camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. The phone is same as we saw in previous leaks. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 comes with a ceramic back panel in a new Sapphire Blue colour variant.

As one of the newest devices to come in a true full-screen display, the magnetic slider uses a magnet mechanism (neodymium, in fact) instead of a motorized one and all the user has to do is push down the display for the dual front camera to come up. One is a wide angle lens and the other is telephoto lens. On the front, you get a 24MP selfie camera and a 2MP sensor. Xiaomi has added a host of features and AI-capabilities for enhancing the quality of images to produce better results in low light conditions.

There is also a Night Mode feature for taking long exposure shots, AI-based scene recognition and support for slow-motion video recording at 960fps.

Inside, the Mi Mix 3 is pretty much your standard high-end Chinese flagship.

In the heart of the device lay not Snapdragon 855, as previously assumed, and the current top-end Snapdragon processor 845. According to Xiaomi, the Mi Mix 3 main cameras scored an impressive 108 points on DxOMark, which is just slightly below the Huwaei P20 Pro and close to iPhone XS Max.

The phone supports wireless charging, but unlike every other phone that does so, it also comes with a 10W wireless charger in the box. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, Global Positioning System and USB Type-C port. Sung noted that they've "successfully tested 5G data connections on Xiaomi phones, and. can't wait for the official rollout of 5G next year!"
