Defending champion Golden State, powered by 43 points from Kevin Durant, moved to the brink of a 3rd National Basketball Association title in 4 seasons Wednesday, June 6, by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-102.

James finished with 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, but he seemed exhausted by the end of the game, had little second half help and the Cavs became the first team in NBA history to go down 3-0 in back-to-back NBA Finals.

James had 33 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for Cleveland, but his Cavaliers will have to become the first team to climb out of a 3-0 hole in the NBA Finals. "Some of those shots, I don't think anybody in the world but him could have made those shots". James has 59 career playoff games where he has scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished 5 assists.

Led by Durant, the Warriors did what they do in the third quarter, outscoring the Cavs 31-23 to take an 83-81 lead heading into the fourth. But the celebration only lasted but a short time before Durant announced his decision to join the Warriors.

While it was a quiet night from Curry and Klay Thompson, who finished with 10 points, the Cavaliers simply had no answer to Durant.

And with Golden State already halfway to the four wins needed for another National Basketball Association title, his presence will make this comeback attempt by the Cavaliers in this series only more challenging.

Curry and his fellow Splash Bro, Klay Thompson, are now tied for the most three-pointers made in a single postseason at 98, a record that will likely stand for a very long time (unless one of the two breaks it themselves). Yet, heading into this Finals series, most talk centered around James and last year's Finals MVP Kevin Durant. This trade would work salary wise, and would give the Cavs a veteran wing who can help take some of the pressure off LeBron. I'll wake up Friday morning, I'll be locked in on the game plan and what needs to be done to help our team win.

The game was tied up at 26 near the end of the first quarter until Jeff Green hit a 3.

Game 3 had the start the Cavaliers dreamed of - Love hits a three, J.R. Smith hits a three, more importantly the Cavaliers corralled three offensive rebounds and forced three Warriors turnovers.

Somewhat amazingly, questions were asked on Tuesday about whether James had been a good leader in that moment, whether he should have done more to rally the troops before overtime. But he's been miserable in the playoffs, averaging just 4.4 points and shooting 15 percent from three-point range. I got us winning the series, that's my prediction... JR Smith scored 13 points and Rodney Hood came off the bench for 15.

"There's going to be nights like this for all of them".
