Thanos does appear to be a high point of the film, after so many years of being the Mad Titan, pulling the strings of conflict yet rarely seen. While this is only the second Marvel movie I will say is wholly kid inappropriate because of the amount and level of violence, I still think Infinity War is very much on brand for the studio.
There's also wonderful pairings - Chris Hemsworth'sThor and Chris Pratt's Peter Quill/ Star Lord facing up to one another - two alpha males with big egos colliding in one of the film's stand-out scenes, and also Downey Jr's Tony Stark and Cumberbatch's odd interacting throughout proceedings as the NY contingent, as well as Tom Holland's Peter Parker/ Spider-Man hitching a ride during their scenes too. It looks like they're reliving the epic Battle of NY, which hints at some time travel trickery and some possible alternate timelines in Avengers 4. "It's a North Star for us as we lead these giant productions into reality". By collecting the stones and placing them in a specially forged gauntlet, Thanos believes he can complete his job of bringing balance to the universe by wiping out half of it with the snap of his fingers.
If you've managed to remain uninfected by "Avengers" fever and can't tell an infinity stone from a kidney stone, here is a primer to catch you up to speed. There are only 1 in 14,000,605 chances that they can stop him.
The star-packed film could beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens as fans flock to cinemas to see which superheroes get killed off.
The closest to any concrete information we got was from Downey, the actor who was there at the very beginning of the whole overlapping Marvel Universe phenomenon in 2008's Iron Man. Give me more of the coolest and most interesting characters (Black Panther, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy) being cool and interesting and less Scarlett Witch. And let's just say that the terror is real.
