Spurs' Leonard out for Game 1 vs. Warriors

We as a nation desperately need anything but Thunder Warriors in playoffs

Steph Curry will probably miss the opening round with a knee injury, but the Warriors should get by a fading San Antonio Spurs squad that will likely be without ailing Kawhi Leonard for the entire series.

Philly's momentum: There is no more intriguing team than the Philadelphia 76ers, who just two seasons ago went 10-72. But the Spurs' bigs are actually pretty similar to Looney, slowish foot speed, but long, smart and agile. This begins with Game 1, taking place at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA. And that was without the do-everything Curry.

"In your mind, you're telling yourself, 'We've got to be better, we've got to do better, '" associate head coach Mike Brown said.

Since the Warriors have the No. 2 seed, they will receive homecourt advantage for this series. But Leonard is an elite talent who's turning just 27 in June. Houston wrapped up the regular season with the best record in the league and a quick check of SBR odds reveals that they will be among the favorites to win the title this year and supplant the perennial finalists from Golden State. Spurs games have a slight tendency to go under the O/U total (52.4 percent). "That's why I'm really excited to play these guys". I turned it off for a while. turned it back on and he still wasn't there.

The Golden State Warriors will be without All-Star point guard Stephen Curry when they take on the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, but the hope is that he'll be back for the Western Conference semifinals, according to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

"We're a resilient team", Love said.

But according to 1/4th of the Warriors awesome foursome, if Golden State fails to impress this postseason, we could be in-store for a major roster reshuffle this offseason. Both teams will be missing one of their top players in the best-of-seven series. In the first half, MeGee had 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting plus a couple of blocked shots inside. Golden State ranks second in offensive efficiency and San Antonio ranks fourth in defensive efficiency. They lost Gordon Hayward and had Gobert out for 26 games and still they made the playoffs. Cook is only 6-2.

They arrive in the play-offs after a roller-coaster season which was transformed after a frenzied series of deals before the trading deadline, which saw them acquire George Hill, Rodney Hood, Larry Nance Jr, and Jordan Clarkson. Dallas coach Rick Carlisle voiced his displeasure after the game, as did Kerr, but we'd say it was well worth any backlash Bell and the Warriors ultimately received.

Without Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge continues to lead this squad. "But he's making good progress". The good news is we have performed well for four years, so we know who we are. It was a mock vote but they all voted that he had to leave the room. "There's no way. He's being re-evaluated in three weeks, so we gotta be ready to play without him and see how he's coming along". We'll see what happens.

So, just what did Warriors top assistant Mike Brown mean to Popovich?

- Agreed. But that's why I was- maybe I said it awkwardly.
