Central's Daniels Wins Indoor National Championship

After earning personal-best marks in the 200-meter a few weeks ago in the SEC Championships, Jaron Flournoy (20.62) and Correion Mosby (20.70) earned national qualifying times as they respectively hold the No. 11 and No. 14 spots in the nation.
Coming back from her Friday victory in the 5,000m, Missouri's Karissa Schweizer won the 3,000m in 8:53.36 to become only the fourth woman to complete the distance double. The title came a year after she finished third at the national indoor championships. Florida boasts eight NCAA team titles since 2010 - a total that leads Division I by three during that span.
"Simply fantastic", FSU coach Bob Braman said. Previous year he placed third with a time of 7.72. A lot of people around the country wrote us off. "Me and the rest of the guys are all progressing really well". Williams had never jumped further than 7.99m before tonight; he recorded that mark to win the SEC Indoor Championships in February.
The fourth-ranked Lady Tigers will have nine competitors and nine scoring chances in four events for the two-day meet. "Football has a 12 man, and I like to say we have a fifth man". It was good for seventh among the other 16 competitors.
Sophomore Grant Holloway repeated as the 60-meter hurdles champion. It was the first time Knight ran the 5,000 indoors at NCAAs.
"It's the best he's looked in a high jump since he's hit the school record in December", said head track and field coach Dan Mecca.
The top 16 individuals in every event advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships. He ended up taking second in the event to secure the bronze medal.
Going up against US legend Shalane Flanagan, Neale finished third among a crowded field at the UW Indoor Preview with a time of 9:01.96, which stands as the 12th fastest time in the NCAA to this point. On the men's side, junior Robert Sullivan finished 12th in the heptathlon with 4,108 points, earning him second team All-American honors. Senior high jumper Logan Boss, who won the Southeastern Conference indoor championship February 25 with a jump of 1.91 meters (6 feet, 3 1/4 inches), will lead the way.
Ondrusek as a senior, said she will remember her time competing at Texas A&M and this meet was one that stood out to her.
Elizabeth Jones finished as national runner-up in the 400 meters, finishing in a school-record time of:55.19. "It's going to be some great races over the next couple of years". USC will also have the title of collegiate record with the foursome of Zach Shinnick (46.24), Rai Benjamin (44.35), Ricky Morgan, Jr.
