With this step up in design language, OnePlus has managed to make its pricing look even better than it did earlier this year.

However, it does retail at an attractive price of USD499 (around RM2,079) for the 64GB variant and USD559 (around RM2,330) for the 128GB variant.

OnePlus 5T price in India is Rs. 32,999 for the 64GB + 6GB variant, and Rs. 37,999 for the 128GB + 8GB model. It is an Amazon exclusive smartphone which will also be available on OnePlus India Online Store. OnePlus will offer two versions of the 5T. The phone will go on sale on November 21 at select regions.

So, what are the reasons to buy the OnePlus 5T?

- Idea users will get 1008GB data with the OnePlus 5T with validity for a year.

Other than these changes, it's essentially the same phone as the OnePlus 5. It has the same design, that uses a metal body with expertly curved corners. OnePlus' 5T has been launched with 6-inch optic AMOLED screen with extremely narrow bezels. Instead, OnePlus stretched the screen's aspect ratio from 16:9 to 18:9 and shrank the bezels.

And as with all previous OnePlus phones, the 5T comes with Dash Charge, offering a day's power after being plugged in for just 30 minutes. There are a couple of new widget and wallpapers, plus a neat Face Unlock feature, but we wouldn't be surprised to see these trickle down to older devices at some point too.

To help alleviate the inconvenience of not being able to unlock the phone from the front, OnePlus included a Face Unlock feature that can recognise 100 different facial identifiers and will even recognise you if you're wearing something like a scarf or making a really dumb face. OnePlus is already working on Android Oreo 8.0 update for its devices but there is no confirmed date for the Oreo update.

The internals are more or less the same as the OnePlus 5. This change was a necessary change to make for a distraction-free look with the front of the phone, but we're told that this updated ceramic fingerprint sensor is now faster with its recognition - unlocking the phone in under 0.2 seconds.

The OnePlus 5T comes with a 16 MP camera module with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash unit on the front of the device for good selfies.

OnePlus has brought back the dual camera setup with its latest flagship. Both have the same focal length and f/1.7 aperture, so optical zoom is no longer an option as it was on the regular 5.

The smartphone is of course powered by Qualcomm's potent Snapdragon 835 SoC, which can be paired with either 6GB of RAM in the base configuration or a massive 8GB of RAM.

OnePlus phones are renowned for being priced low, and the 5T is no exception. Things like expanded screenshots, gaming do not disturb mode, dark themes and auto night mode have all made their way over to the 5T.

Continuing its tradition of bringing awesome features at an unbeatable price, the company has, today, launched OnePlus 5T smartphone. Once again, we've worked hard to refine every last detail.
