Ravens vs. Raiders Who the experts are taking Week 5

Updates with new lead.

Here is a look at the Oakland Raiders injury report heading into their Week 5 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Marshawn Lynch and Co. have been muted in recent weeks.

That was just the start of the Ravens' rejuvenated deep passing attack thanks to Flacco and Wallace. I don't know if we believed it or not. I just had thoughts like that last night. "Say what you want, but they beat us. Wish I would have scored".

West was hurt on a 13-yard run to the Raiders' 6. Winston finished the game with 334 yards, completing 26 throws from 46 attempts. A 52-yard Joe Flacco pass play and a ball fumbled by Raiders tight end Jared Cook put the Raiders in an instant 14-0 hole.

The Raiders need to get the crowd into the game early; That means the squad needs to get off to a fast start at home.

Now, they are faced with the diagnosis of a transverse process fracture to the back of quarterback Derek Carr, suffered against the Broncos and in turn thrusting backup EJ Manuel into the lineup.

What started out as a Super Bowl contending team and a 2-0 record, is now a 2-3 squad with an injured Derek Carr after the team lost their 3rd straight game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. "I know what a competitor he is and he's a tough dude". It's like a bad shock. "We just keep getting our ass whupped".

With him sidelined, the Ravens will face veteranEJ Manuel today.

He made the plays when they came his way Sunday, finishing with three catches for 133 yards.

The Coliseum was rocking after Lynch's TD cut Baltimore's lead to 24-17 late in the third quarter. He has eight games with at least two sacks since entering the National Football League in 2014, tied for third-most in that span.

Things were close, however, and the Buccaneers were pushing in the fourth, but ultimately came up short to ensure the Patriots would claim a confidence boosting road win and move to 3-2.

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio does not consider this a homefield advantage.

It was basically cruise control for Baltimore from that point forward. Asked if it was an easy call, Del Rio gritted his teeth and said, "Nah, not easy".

That decision to punt was not Del Rio's favorite talking point after the game. "So I'm never going to waver", Flacco said.

Flacco showed off his improvisational skills in the first quarter when he tripped on a drop back after a shotgun snap. With the situation at quarterback, Oakland's best bet might be to rely heavily on the ground game early against a Ravens defense that has been suspect against the run.
