And in overtime, Larry Fitzgerald - who else, right? - caught a 19-yard touchdown pass with 32 seconds left to rally the Cardinals past the San Francisco 49ers, 18-15, in front of another sold out crowd at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The game kicks off at 4:05 p.m. EST and will be broadcast for your enjoyment on your local FOX affiliate.

PREDICTION: Arizona has shown some warts, but a home matchup against the lowly 49ers should provide some short-term medicine for the Cardinals and their fans. Ultimately, the Cardinals should only need a handful of successful plays in the passing game to win this game.

As if giving up over 100 yards to a single receiver wasn't bad enough, Robinson also dropped a pair of interceptions - one early in the first quarter that was subsequently picked off by 49ers linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong and another in the final moments of overtime that fell incomplete after almost falling to Brown. The second started in September, 2009 and went to November, 2011.

The 49ers finally woke up on offense against the Rams, but blew it on defense after holding Seattle to just 12 points the week before. Brian Hoyer threw for 332 yards and two TDs in his most effective game since joining San Francisco this offseason, teaming with Pierre Garcon for 142 of those yards.

It happens that my wife and I are proud owners of the Green Bay Packers (two of more than 360,000).

"I have been playing this game my entire life and I've met so many people from different races and ethnicities and became the best of friends to them, became like brothers to them", Bowman said. Quarterback Jared Goff was 21-of-36 for 255 yards with a pair of touchdowns and no interceptions. On offense, the 49ers can only hope to build off of last week's performance. They produced no sacks at all.

That will not work against the Philadelphia Eagles next week. If not for a couple of Rams turnovers, one on special teams, this game would not have been that close. I don't even watch the Super Bowl.

-The 49ers thwarted the Cardinals' opening-drive scoring chance when linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong intercepted a Palmer pass that originally deflected off the hands of 49ers cornerback Rashard Robinson.

"We ended up getting to the right spots, but we were a foot behind, and when you do that versus a good quarterback and especially (Fitzgerald) going down the seam, they made us pay".

But you have to go deeper than that.

The Cardinals once again had no running game. A far cry from the six points and 232 yards per game the 49ers managed in their first two games. What does that mean?

As President Barack Obama said roughly a year ago when this issue first arose, according to Time magazine, "I want Mr. Kaepernick and others who are on a knee to listen to the pain that may cause somebody who had a spouse or a child killed in combat, and why it hurts them to see somebody not stand". You think Kyle Shanahan wasn't paying attention to that? The defense was a huge let down. However, it's hard to make excuses for giving up that seven-play, 75-yard TD drive that won the game for Arizona with little time left on the clock. I don't really look at it that way. Arizona's defensive backfield is significantly better than the Rams. The same can be said on the other side of the ball.

This game was absolutely very bad, but if you enjoy games with nine field goals and the lone touchdown coming in overtime, you probably would've liked this game between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.
