Broncos defense comes up big for 16-10 victory over Raiders

Following the game, Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said Carr had back spasms. Del Rio said these injuries typically sideline players for two to six weeks. But Romo flew to London and played two weeks after his transverse fracture.
Simmons, who beat out perennial Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward in training camp, snared EJ Manuel's pass to Amari Cooper at the Denver 8 with just under 2 minutes remaining.
"We're all going to have our time ad our moments to make plays", Anderson said.
Carr is healthy for this matchup but is coming off an abysmal performance against Washington last week in which he completed only 19-of-31 passes for just 118 yards and a touchdown while throwing his first two interceptions of the season. "As soon as I got down, I don't know what happened", said Carr, who grabbed for his lower back. There is no planet where Manuel is considered an upgrade to Carr.
Through three games this season, Michael Crabtree had 13 catches for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Taylor got his first game uniform of the season Sunday and came up with the biggest special teams play, tackling Oakland punter Marquette King for a 3-yard loss when the fake attempt needed 11 yards for a first down.
Oakland RaidersquarterbackDerek Carr grabs his back after being sacked by Denver Broncos defensive ends Adam Gotsis during the second half of an NFL football game Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in Denver. "I thought he was accurate, he made good decisions with the exception of putting that one up late on second down - just check it down there and keep moving the chains". Just don't go calling for Colin Kaepernick to be signed just yet. Through three games, Lynch has rushed for only 139 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries. His quarterback rating of 52.7 was the second lowest of his career ahead of only a 50.5 mark in his rookie year of 2014 in 52-0 loss to the then-St. Had the Raiders taken the backup quarterback job seriously, Manuel wouldn't be on this roster. Finishing out games continues to plague the Broncos, so look for the team to work on this before it costs the team too many victories. However, in the fourth quarter-when teams have been forced to throw the ball since they are losing and Denver is playing in more of a preventative defense-they've given up an average of 86.25 yards. In order to win, people needed to buy eligible appliances the week before the game, not after.
Oakland's offense actually started moving the ball a little more when E.J. Manuel entered the game, but that coincided with a odd shift in coverage strategy by Joe Woods and the Broncos from man-to-man to some more zone concepts.
The week after that, they have another home game against the rival Chargers.
Will the Raiders still be.500 at that point? It wasn't enough, as the Raiders couldn't figure out a way to put more points on the board before time ran out. This will be a crucial game for both teams, especially considering how Kansas City has started the season in the AFC West.
If Carr is out for beyond the minimum two weeks, it's hard to see a scenario where the Raiders do not enter the final two months of the season with at least four losses. This has become a question for any team with an injured quarterback.
