Lions give Bears a blueprint vs. Vikings; can Chicago follow it?

This season, though, things have been different. Minnesota didn't give up a ton of points and played well enough to win, but it needs to be better to win a divisional game against a team that Zimmer's struggled against since he got here.
Linebacker Steve Longa gets a game ball as well. They forced three fumbles and recovered all three Sunday in Minnesota, turning two into 11 points, while the other iced the game.
Last season, the Vikings destroyed their season with two brutal losses to the Lions. There has to be a human being somewhere in the world that can regularly hit makeable field goals for the Minnesota Vikings.
Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes, the first-round draft pick in 2015 out of Michigan State, had one of three interceptions last week in a win over Tampa Bay.
Week after week, this Lionsdefense continues to impress.
"After struggling so much to generate takeaways last season (14 all year), the Lions lead the National Football League after three weeks with eight", wrote Tim Twentyman on the team's official website. How bad has it been?
What I liked: Ameer Abdullah came oh-so-close to becoming Detroit's first 100-yard rusher since Reggie Bush in 2013. The Vikings will need more out of him with both Sam Bradford and Cook not returning to the field next week.
Luckily, Abdullah's injury is not serious. The offense was never able to get going without them, causing the Vikings to finish 8-8 after the defense led them to a 5-0 start.
The Vikings lost Dalvin Cook to an apparent left knee injury, turned the ball over on their first two second half possessions, and a third time on their final chance in a 14-7 loss, dropping them to 2-2. He and Everson Griffen formed the passing rushing duo that many envisioned before the season and harassed Matthew Stafford all afternoon. Keenum's fourth-down pass was high and out of the back of the end zone.
Guard Alex Boone is out for the 49ers game with a pectoral injury.
Detroit appears to have a defense and running game to complement Stafford and the rest of the offense in 2017.
The Lions let Riley Reiff become a free agent last spring and sign with the Vikings, with full faith in Taylor Decker as their cornerstone left tackle.
