Jacksonville defence nails 10 sacks in comfortable win over Houston

Have thoughts on how the Texans and Jaguars are performing? Watson finished the game 12-of-23 for 102 yards, one touchdown and one interception. And lining up with Watt for the Houston Texans to rush quarterback Blake Bortles are Jadeveon Clowney and Whitney Mercilus.
And that's not all.
Jaguars czar Tom Coughlin and general manager Dave Caldwell revamped the line by parting ways with Jared Odrick, Sen'Derrick Marks and Roy Miller in the offseason and signing veteran defensive end Calais Campbell to a four-year, $60 million contract in free agency. Houston won 11 of the last 13 meetings after the Jaguars won nine of the first 17. "The way they put this team on their backs and kept us going ..."
"It was a bad day on offense, but it wasn't that much better defensively. we have a lot of work to do", coach Bill O'Brien said. "That's what we did".
The Jaguars' defense had four takeaways and set a single-game team record with 10 sacks.
"We knew it would be insane, and we knew we had to fight and keep fighting", Fournette said. "He's a special player".
On the back end of the Jacksonville defense, cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and former Texans player A.J, Bouye toyed with Savage and, after an initial surge, neutralized Watson, who led the Texans to their touchdown. He limped back onto the field after the play and eventually laid on the turf at NRG Stadium.
This offense is going to need to establish the run game early.
I have had high hopes for the Jags coming into the last couple of seasons, only to have it blow up in my face in week one. Jason Myers' extra point attempt was wide right.
"I'm still learning, not ideal, going over the film with those guys and understanding how to study the game", he said. "There were a lot of great guys who did a lot of great things for that city and our prayers go out to everybody in Houston who suffered from that hurricane". We have a hurricane where we're at and our families are evacuating, too.
Houston cornerback Johnathan Joseph on what went wrong: "Just got punched in the mouth today.no other words can describe it". We didn't care about that. That means they wanted to get a thorough examination.
