One of the most eagerly awaited flagships of 2017, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has finally been officially unveiled.
The Note 8 is sleeker, bolder but the biggest deal here is the new camera setup.
Samsung which is launching the Galaxy Note 8 in the USA is streaming the launchlive. And 3,500mAh is what you'll find in the Galaxy S8 Plus, so there's a 200mAh deficiency for the Note 8 here. It also has a feature called the Live Message, which allows you to draw on pictures to add some emotion to them.
As widely expected, the display screen is slightly larger than the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus, making the new phone the largest-ever Note phone.
The Always on Display allows Galaxy users to stay on top of their notifications without unlocking their phone, the firm said.
Dual opitcal image-stabilized 12 megapixel rear cameras that will produce sharper images and better closeups.
The Note 8 is notable (sorry) for another reason, though. Given the sad fate of the Note 7, you were stuck with the old Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for almost two years! It supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 via a USB Type C port. It comes with features like 4000 levels of pressure sensitivity, a more flexible tip, creating an animated GIF of your sketches, translating more words in a single swipe are some of the features of the improved S-Pen.
One of the most awesome features of the S-Pen with the Note 8 is the fact that it can now translate sentences on its own.
All of those features are crammed into a body that's IP68 water and dust resistant. There are three other colors available, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold, and Deep Sea Blue.
Rather than ignore the Note 7 catastrophe of a year ago Samsung's President of mobile communications DJ Koh acknowledge the event and thanked the fans of the firms Note series.
The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB-256GB expandable storage. For selfies, the smartphone packs an 8MP front-facing camera coupled with a bright f/1.7 aperture lens. However, it brings S Pen support, and dual cameras in tow. The in-house virtual assistance, Bixby is available on all the three smartphones, but it is not yet flawless stay perform on par with Google Assistant or Apple's Siri.
While Samsung and its carrier partners are touting September 15th, don't be surprised if some carriers (T-Mobile, and others) ship the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of time.
