Casey to hold fireworks, parade on Fourth of July

Hamden event June 30 kicks off Fourth of July fireworks in New Haven area

Some shows in the area include the Lions Club show at Sandpoint City Beach at dusk, Silverwood Theme Park's "Fireworks Extravaganza" at dusk, as well as the shows in Garfield Bay, Clark Fork and Priest River just after dark.

Much like previous years, the 27th annual edition of the event will feature hundreds of shells fired rapidly in a sweeping motion and choreographed to patriotic music.

Citizens Bank Park: The Phillies will host *a second night* of post-July 4 fireworks after the Phils take on the Padres.

Happy Independence Day! The Fourth of July is one of the most popular times of year to be enjoying the Lakes Region.

War Memorial Park will be open from dawn to dusk on the 4th, and open picnic areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

On Tuesday, July 4, the Fremont Fire Department will sponsor the annual Kiddie Parade.

There will be fireworks at Congress beach on July 4th beginning at 9 p.m. Parking is $5 for non-members.

Steamboat Lake- fireworks July 1st-Meadow Point and Rainbow Ridge will be prime spots for the best viewing.

Activities at the ballpark at 6 p.m., including live music, games for kids, food and craft vendors, and a raffle. Live music, food and fireworks.

Check-in for Saturday's race begins at 7 a.m.at the Mancos Community Center. Fireworks approximately 9:30 p.m. $5-$10. Enjoy fun and games, a petting zoo, local food, and entertainment, starting at 6 pm.

Cranbury - The Mercer County Symphonic Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will start at dusk at Village Park.

Most other communities are celebrating on Independence Day itself.

Admission is free. There is a suggested parking donation of $5 to benefit the Orange Little League. The egg and water balloon toss is set for 1:30 p.m. Folks also can sign up for hot air balloon rides at 6:30 p.m.

Berlin - Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Riverside Park. The event will be held on the South Shore of Moraine State Park, located at 225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville. A fireworks show at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing will follow. Fireworks show at 9 p.m.

The City of Lansing's Fourth of July Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. through Downtown Lansing.

Tuesday, July 4: The city's annual Fourth of July Celebration includes a parade and festival.

- Canobie Lake Park fireworks: 9:15 p.m. Saturday, July 1, through Tuesday, July 4. This event will be held Tuesday, July 4, outside of Salem High School.

"I think it adds to (Independence Day participation), because I advertise my race with those same runners", she said.

Honorable mention: On July 3rd, catch fireworks from the field following the Oakland A's game against the White Sox. Rain date is July 8.
