Mumbai Indians (MI) held its nerves to score a remarkable five-run win over Gujarat Lions (GL) in IPL 10's first Super Over finish at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.

But Mumbai Indians successfully chased down the total and emerged as the victor of the last match.

James Faulkner picked up two Mumbai Indians wickets ending the super over for them 1 ball short of the six with 11 runs of the board. Each of his deliveries were unplayable proving why he is an asset for the Indian team in limited overs format.

Today's action is highlighted by Kolkata Knight Riders visiting last year's champions Sunrisers Hyderabad as they look to open up a two-point lead at the top of the table again. And what followed was one of the most sensational Super Overs the game has witnessed.

Chasing 12 runs to win, Brendon McCullum and Aaron Finch walked into bat for the hosts.

A stunning 70 from 44 balls from Parthiv Patel looked to have put the Mumbai Indians on course for a victory despite a series of top order failures. However Krunal (29) kept his cool but was run-out off the last delivery of the final over bowled by Irfan Pathan.

PREDICTED GL XI: McCullum, Kishan, Raina (c), Finch, Karthik (wk), Jadeja, Faulkner, Pathan, Tye, Thampi, Nathu.

After the Lions chose to bat, Jharkhand's young left hander Ishan Kishan demonstrated his buccaneering ways of batting; fearless and ready to throw his bat against the fast bowlers and spinners alike.

It didn't work out in the last game as he could only manage 16 runs, but we saw a glimpse of his talent against the Mumbai Indians. "We knew they would bowl well, losing wickets wasn't great, but Krunal did very well to stay till the end", he said. While Gujarat would love to get some quick points to move up the rankings and make their proceedings to the elimination rounds final, Mumbai will be looking forward to grabbing the best spot that they can in the IPL.

Malinga, making a comeback to the team, had a good outing with the ball, taking two wickets. And none were more important than the six he hit off the first ball in the last over. Raina although had scored an unbeaten 34 facing 30 balls, was seen in some amount of pain while batting as he had hurt his shoulder earlier during fielding.

Finch (1) was played on off Malinga. In the ninth over, the Lions suffered another blow when Dinesh Karthik was deceived in the air to be stumped by Parthiv Patel. Among the bowlers who have played four or more matches, Harbhajan is the only one to have an economy rate of below six - 5.88 to be precise.
