WrestleMania 33 Preview & Predictions (4/2/17): Give Us The Green Light!
Apr 03 2017 by Johnnie Parsons
The eyes of the world will be on Orlando, Florida, Sunday night for WrestleMania 33, set to take place in front of more than 50,000 fans in Camping World Stadium. Being part of WrestleMania whether it's the pre-show or the kickoff panel or AXXESS or doing a Be A Star campaign event, it's all part of the Road to WrestleMania. A Wyatt loss would be the third time in as many Smackdown pay-per-views that the WWE Championship has changed hands. Now that WWE owns their own distribution, this show promises to be another extended edition.
Will Goldberg go 3-0 against Brock Lesnar, or will The Beast Incarnate take the Universal Title?
Following the smoldering ashes of the Wyatt Family being put to rest by Randy Orton's turn against Bray Wyatt, Wyatt becomes a man without foot soldiers. Yes, the WWE Championship will keep us warm on those cold nights when Brock vanishes for months on end.
If the past few months are anything to go by, this has the potential to be the shortest title match in Wrestlemania history. That's setting up Wyatt to go over. Everyone expected him to be wrestling The Undertaker (a match that has not happened since Cena became the company's top star in 2005) or someone else with similar gravitas. I'm not the biggest fan of any type of "magic" going on in my wrestling (or at least not in the world of WWE, Lucha Underground is a different story) so honestly my engagement with this storyline has died down in the last few weeks. Triple H, 47, and Seth Rollins, 30, will also be going at it in a non-sanctioned Raw match that should be quite a thrill to watch.
AJ Styles should pick up his first Mania win against Shane McMahon. I hated on SmackDown this week, where Shane told AJ he "needed to bring his A game".
Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, a long way from companions any longer, are seeking the United States Title. Some argue Owens should not have lost the Universal title to Goldberg and that he gets a consolation prize in winning the US title. Even if those rumors are incorrect and Jericho is sticking around, Owens needs the win here over his former partner.
When the news first broke that WrestleMania would feature The Miz and wife Maryse against John Cena and girlfriend Nikki Bella, wrestling fans were. confused.
You would have thought that after WWE booked the son of company owner Vince McMahon in a match with The Undertaker a year ago, it would have known better. In total, during his past seven years with the WWE, he has had 852 matches total.
Definitely see Corbin taking the strap from Ambrose but not every title is going to change on this show, which means +700 offers some significant value.
"I wanted a challenge instead and I think the WWE will be that". I think they're proud, man.
Stay away. I have Gallows and Anderson retaining, which offers little value, and Enzo & Cass winning offers none. "After headlining the biggest wrestling event on the planet, we can't wait for him to experience what it is like to lead 40 of NASCAR's best around the half-mile high banks of The Last Great Colosseum prior to the green flag". They honed in on something that fans had noticed for years and was sometimes the subject of chatter backstage: Cena and Nikki don't come off like a real couple. Alexa Bliss, the current champion, will be facing Naomi, who recently defeated her for the title, and four other superstars, including Mickie James who helped her retain her title after appearing as La Luchadora.
