In the evening's second game, Wake Forest will face Kansas State in a battle of 11 seeds, with 6 seed Cincinnati waiting to face the victor.

Kansas, K-State, and Wichita State will all play in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Although they struggled to an 8-10 record in the Big 12, two wins over Baylor (including one in the Big 12 quarterfinals) and a win over Oklahoma State saw them reach their seventh NCAA Tournament in the last ten years as they finished with a 20-13 record.

Most teams would prefer being able to avoid a play-in game, but if New Orleans is any indication of how the First Four field feels about it, the extra game in Dayton isn't such a bad thing. Fifteen first-half fouls against K-State (it averages 17.7 per game) made the last 20 minutes a bit tricky.

"It's a good matchup for us", said Wesley Iwundu, who had 24 points. North Carolina Central also keeps teams off the three-point line, which means UC Davis, which isn't very efficient, will have to score by twos. The Bearcats are a defensively sound team and shouldn't have a huge issue dealing with multiple scoring threats, but sometimes its easier to just put your entire focus on stopping one guy and daring the rest to beat you. In early action K-State has been bet into a 2-point favorite, while the total has dropped three points, to 149.

On the season, Kansas State is averaging 71.7 points, 32.8 rebounds and 15.0 assists per game. Kamau Stokes added 22 points and D.J. contributed 18 on 8-9 shooting. They came to Kansas City and you would think everything was on our side and they just shot lights out. Cincinnati is one of the nation's best defensive clubs, proving able to lock down almost anyone they face.

Wake Forest is dancing for the first time since 2010.

Danny Manning has done a tremendous job so far in Winston-Salem, engineering a turnaround from a 2-16 season a year ago. The contest will also be available on the K-State Sports Network and free live audio on kstatesports.com. She is the 11th player in school history to reach 1,500 career points and is just one of four players in program history with 1,500 or more points and 800 or more career rebounds. Bryant Crawford wasn't ideal, but the sophomore point guard finished with 20 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds, while Austin Arians scored 17. As a team, Kansas State shot better than 60 percent in both the first and second halves. They're Ken Pomeroy's 22nd-ranked team, while Kansas State comes in at 28.
