Celtics bounce back to take down Warriors

Suns rookie Tyler Ulis came up with it and sinked a game winning three pointer at the buzzer.

Warriors: At Minnesota on Friday looking for a third win in as many games this season vs. Timberwolves. Though he was off on a few open 3s, Curry found success in this game with his drives to the rim and craft. Not since Lakers fans flocked north to cheer Kobe Bryant on this floor could locals remember such an occurrence.

Isaiah Thomas delivered the dagger with a 3-pointer that pushed Boston's lead to 14.

"It is insane though", Thomas added. On that killer possession, it was an inability for their small lineup (Draymond Green at center, Kevin Durant inactive in a knee brace) to get a defensive rebound.

But the opposite happened.

Tuesday is an off day with the team then taking on the Warriors Wednesday night.

The Warriors most certainly hurt themselves - Curry dribbled the ball off his leg; Iguodala gave the ball away carelessly with Avery Bradley lurking - but Boston was the aggressor in taking over the game. The Warriors then climbed back in front by a point before the Celtics went on the kind of lightning run for which the building's tenants have become famous. Our advice here is to focus on not over playing on defense and keeping the three-point plays from the Celtics to a minimum.

While we're being honest, we can add that the Warriors got to the foul line just nine times Wednesday.

"They're definitely a different team (without Durant)", said Olynyk, who was on the court for 26 minutes, during which the Celtics outscored the Warriors by 29 points. They came out of the timeout locked in defensively for one of the first times all night (there were several mid-game defensive breakdowns prior). "We should have won [Sunday] night [in Phoenix]".

"I know every guy in that locker room wants to play", point guard Stephen Curry added. It knocked the Celtics out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and midway through the season, Rivers made a decision to worry less about chasing a playoff seed and more about getting his team healthy for the playoffs.

Thomas also echoed Paul Pierce's recent idea of a cash reward for the winning team, as the former Celtics legend said players would play harder for a $100,000 reward.

The Celtics led by as many as 13 points in the third quarter before sharp-shooter Jamal Crawford got scorching hot from deep, and erased that C's lead in a hurry. The point guard ranks outside of the top-50 players in the National Basketball Association for minutes played (34.3 per game) so pushing to do more is an understandable desire for the C's top scorer. "I think we did a great of job doing that". Klay Thompson dumped in 24 points. Klay still made us pay quite a bit off that.

"There's no way we are going to let them just play the whole quarter especially with this stretch that we are on".

"That's what it's all about".
