Unlike previous benchmark results, the data below is from production systems with Turbo Mode enabled on both AMD and Intel chips. We are confident AMD is in the right ballpark but time will tell.
As it stands, the 1800X is positioned against the Intel Core i7 6900K, the 1700X against the 6800K and the 1700 against the Intel i7 7700K. Of these, it is Ryzen 7 1800X that happens to be the highest performance chip and will be the first to reach the market.
Ryzen is a product of AMD's Zen microarchitecure. While the first Ryzen CPUs are already out in the wild, AMD is preparing to launch three new 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen CPUs. AMD might also launch Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 chips soon which will be targeted at mid-range and entry-level market respectively, PCWorld reported. AMD has announced three high-end processors from the Ryzen series - Ryzen 7 1800X, Ryzen 7 1700X and Ryzen 7 1700.
AMD beat its IPC goal without compromising its clockspeed. Other details include an L2 + L3 cache of 20 MB (4 MB + 16 MB) and a TDP of 95W.
So, how did AMD achieve Ryzen's performance boost?

An entirely new architecture also helps.
The multi-threaded chip has been put under the Cinebench R15 test and it came out with a score of 2499. This allows for better distribution and handling of multiple tasks. The chip has been priced at $399 and it performs 40% better than Intel's Core i7 6800K. Many professional streamers will even have a second system doing the stream encoding, just to keep framerates smooth, but an 8-core/16-thread processor is generally able to handle all the game logic and calculations along with the video encoding without dropping frames.
