'Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers - 1/15/17 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction'

With that said, once I knew that the Cowboys would be getting the victor of what turned out to be the best Wild Card game between the Packers and Giants, I watched Sunday afternoon's game with a notebook in hand - putting down some thoughts on both teams. He won it in Dallas when the Packers knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers at AT&T Stadium in Super Bowl XLV following the 2010 season.

Julius Peppers - This is not the same dominating Julius Peppers that terrorized quarterbacks for most of his career. The Packers, coming off a 15-1 regular season, gave up a Hail Mary touchdown to the Giants' Hakeem Nicks at the end of the first half on January 15, 2012.

Aaron Rodgers might not have had the best regular season of any quarterback, but he's now playing about as well as any signal caller ever has. The incident led to a national debate over whether the players' off-day trip would affect the Giants' preparation for the Packers.

Green Bay, in fact, had -8 yards from their opening 13 plays, and lost Jordy Nelson for the game to an injury due to the hard-hitting Giants D. And now he gives us the game of the year in pro football, at least so far, against the 13-3 Cowboys. More recently in 2015, the Packers eliminated the Cowboys from their last playoff appearance thanks in part to a controversial "no-catch" call involving Dez Bryant. Other than a 41-yard touchdown pass from Manning to Tavarres King in the third quarter, the Giants offense kept stalling out in the second half.

The series between the Packers and Cowboys are tied at 17 a piece. Even if Beckham's intentions were good, and even if he had played well, traveling to Miami six days before playing at Lambeau Field is seen as just plain wrong. I can't say that because we didn't take care of our business. Both teams had 11 drives on offense. Well, for one game anyway.

That was plenty for the Packers defense.

Back in Week 6 at Lambeau Field, Elliott rushed 28 times for 157 yards in a 30-16 victory over the Packers. Since that game, the Packers have been a totally different team, and are coming into this game riding a seven-game winning streak.

Cobb nudged a defender forward and positioned himself near the back of the end zone; avoiding the commotion, the ball just landed in his hands as everyone misjudged it. Ladarius Gunter, Damarious Randall and company responded on Sunday. On Sunday, they looked as if they reverted back to those times. "To think that such a good passer, you would think they'd get him out of the pocket, damper him, or put some type of uneasiness about him - but no, he's very comfortable outside the pocket". And why not? They held their first four opponents to a combined 171 yards rushing - the second-fewest through four games in the Super Bowl era, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Throughout Sunday's game, each player's performance boiled down to the question - "was he on the boat?"

Cornerback was really the last piece to the Packers' defensive puzzle.

Since Beckham was at the center of all the controversy, all eyes were on him on Sunday.

Dallas moves the ball well on the ground with Elliott and through the air with Prescott, who passed for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns against four interceptions. And Matthews had a strip-sack and fumble recovery. We just got outscored during the end.

"Everything really was going our way until the last five minutes of the first half", Pugh said. We've talked before about whether he's the best QB in the league.
