Tom Brady and New England Patriots Enter Postseason With Momentum

The New England Patriots (14-2-0) defeated the Miami Dolphins (10-6-0) 35 - 14 Sunday in a Week 17 match-up at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. Tom Brady led the game in passing, completing 25 of 33 attempts for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. They have the most wins in all of the AFC.
It all seems so inevitable, and why shouldn't it? If we can just get a turnover late in that drive, it changes.
This team barely beat the Chiefs in a revenge game that meant much more to the Texans. Kansas City wouldn't see the Dolphins until the AFC Championship game.
"It's good to be in this position, and try to take advantage of this time off and get some good things accomplished, and be ready to play our best football whenever we play", Brady said.
The Patriots, unlike last season, have done what they needed to do to wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
"I said before I don't think it's a benefit, missing games, " said Brady during his weekly press conference on Friday.
There were several different players contributing to the Patriots' success in Sunday's game than those that finished the season previous year, but the leadership of the team, basically the same as 2015, had to accept one inescapable truth.
"We talked of regrouping for the playoffs", Bushrod said.
The Patriots offense wasted no time grabbing control of the game.
Brady connected with Edelman eight times for 151 yards and a 77-yard touchdown pass with 7:05 left in the third quarter that wrested control back to the Patriots after the Dolphins had closed to within 20-14 on their opening drive of the second half. The question they must answer in Pittsburgh: Can they find that other level? Miami's quarterback threw two touchdown passes and was picked off once as part of a 205-yard day. "We felt like we were constantly slept on all year, doubted all year".
Trudeau explains his thoughts and considers this year's post season an "Extremely competitive playoff". After clinching their division, the AFC East they earned themselves a front row seat.
The Dolphins actually had a chance to make it a one score game in the fourth quarter before a Damien Williams fumble and a 69-yard return of that fumble set up the game-clinching touchdown, a short run by LaGarrette Blount. He sprinted across the field in Edelman's direction and locked onto Dolphins defensive back Tony Lippett as the biggest threat to what was shaping up as a potential long catch-and-run.
Landry leads Miami with 85 catches for 1,060 yards with three touchdowns, including 10 catches for 135 yards back in Week 2 against New England. "We didn't do it last year; we didn't do it the year before", said Brady. He's put a lot of time and effort in.
When they start, the Patriots will be watching and resting.
