The 2nd Quarter began with the Mountaineers continuing their drive from the 1st quarter.it was 3rd and 7 and the Mountaineers RB Rushel Shell was able to convert for a 1st down to keep the Mountaineers offense on the field.
This season, Rudolph has thrown for 2,259 yards and 14 touchdowns in seven games while tossing only a pair of interceptions.
After a missed field goal on West Virginia's next drive, Rudolph orchestrated an impressive foray downfield that covered 78 yards in 15 plays and left just 15 seconds remaining in the first half.
One of the best throws of the day came on this ideal fade to Chris Lacy, which gave Oklahoma State a two touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter.
While West Virginia out-gained Oklahoma State 421-351 and had 27 first downs to the Cowboys' 17, turnovers proved costly.
Two plays later, Rudolph hit Lacy for a 5-yard touchdown and a 13-10 OSU lead. Rudolph completed 15 of 20 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns - both coming after West Virginia had gone ahead 10-6.
"It was great to see Chris back", Cowboys offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich said.
Gundy said the Cowboys showed discipline on Ramon Richards' 59-yard interception return in the third quarter and Kevin Henry's 26-yard interception return in the fourth.
McLesky has 38 receptions for 536 yards and four touchdowns and Seales has caught 21 passes for 335 yards and three touchdowns.
Gundy said: "They've kind of created a monster here, and the only way to feed it is to win big games like we did today". Oklahoma State has only one ranked opponent left on the schedule: No. 16 Oklahoma in the regular-season finale.
Hill pulled in one pass for 22 yards and rushed for a career-high 162 yards and one score in the Cowboys' 44-20 win at Kansas, on Saturday. To end the 3rd quarter, the Mountaineers offense is threatening to score by marching down to the Cowboys 12 yard line. On homecoming at Oklahoma State, the school presented to fans the 1945 national championship trophy recently awarded retroactively by the American Football Coaches Association.
While the Mountaineer football team hits the road to face Oklahoma State this weekend, the West Virginia women's soccer team will be hosting the Cowgirls in the season finale. OSU asserted itself as Big 12 title contenders. The Mountaineers will have to limit scoring chances for Oklahoma State, seeing as how the Cowgirls convert on one in every 6.4 shots they take while the Mountaineers score on one in every 11. All we can do is try to take advantage of those blessings. He has improved most in taking care of the ball - he has gone the past two games without throwing an interception and has thrown just four interceptions this season after throwing 14 in 13 games previous year. WVU QB Skyler Howard was intercepted twice and lost a fumble on a sack.
Oklahoma State gave itself a season-changing victory and gave head coach Mike Gundy win No. 100 as coach in the process.
