Newly-Discovered Mythical Pokemon Magearna Unveiled, Movie Coming in 2016
Feb 18 2016 by Kate Woods
The new Pokemon has a metallic body and was created by humans 500 years ago. Given that there are heavy rumors that the 20th anniversary will usher in the next installment of the main Pokemon series, it may be reasonable to expect both Magearna and Volcanion to appear in those games, instead.
This news comes via Pokemon.com, and the site has also confirmed the existence of another new Pokemon which will appear in the movie. After crashing from the sky, a mysterious force - we are told - will bind the two characters together. "One of the greatest battles in Pokemon history is about to unfold", Nintendo said of the film's premise. The latest Pokemon, called Magearna will be coming is as the 722nd of the Pokemon universe.
What makes Magearna unique is that, normally, hackers will have found all the Mythical Pokemon in the code of games within a few weeks of release. Ash and the mythical Pokemon will have to work together to save the city of cogs and gears from a corrupt minister. Volcanion despises humans and tries to get away, but it's forced to drag Ash along as it continues its rescue mission. It's possible that the Pokemon will be released as part of the 20th anniversary's monthly Mythical distribution. The "Pokemon XY" anime series just began airing in the USA while Japan has already moved ahead with the "Pokemon XY and Z" anime series. The game will be an exciting venture for the franchise and is set to feature alongside major titles at EVO 2016. Others suggest Magearna could also be a Fairy-typePokemon.
